What length shoelaces do I need?

The quickest way is to count the eyelet pairs, that is, the holes on one side of your shoe. Then match it to the chart (criss-cross lacing):

  • 4 pairs (low canvas, boat shoes): 100 cm (39.4")
  • 5 pairs (low sneakers): 110 cm (43.3")
  • 6 pairs (most sneakers): 120 cm (47.2")
  • 7 pairs (mid-tops, running shoes): 130 cm (51.2")
  • 8 pairs (high-tops): 140 cm (55.1")
  • 10 pairs (boots): 160 cm (63.0")

Still have your old laces? Measure one end to end and choose the same length. Between two sizes? Go one size up: a slightly long lace still ties, a short one doesn't.

Find your length in 3 steps (full chart, 2 to 12 eyelet pairs).
