How do reflective shoelaces work?
Reflective laces are woven with retro-reflective fibers (often containing micro-glass beads). Unlike standard materials that scatter light, these fibers reflect light directly back toward its source, such as car headlights or streetlamps, making the wearer significantly more visible to drivers.
Are reflective laces as durable as regular laces?
Yes. Our reflective range is typically made from high-denier polyester or nylon, which is extremely resistant to fraying. The reflective threads are embedded into the weave rather than painted on, so they won't flake or peel over time with regular use.
Do reflective laces still work when they get dirty?
While dirt and mud can slightly diminish the reflective surface area, most reflective laces are water-resistant and can be easily wiped clean. To maintain maximum safety, we recommend a quick wipe with a damp cloth after a muddy run to keep the reflective fibers clear.
